Legendary Bassist BOB DAISLEY: New Audio Interview Posted Online
April 4, 2008A new "Musician 2 Musician" interview with rock icon Bob Daisley, bassist and lyricist on OZZY OSBOURNE's "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman" albums, has been posted on YouTube. The interview runs in eight parts, and is a retrospective, highlighting his career, as well as spotlighting his work with Randy Rhoads, Lee Kerslake and Ozzy. The chat is said to be a candid yet casual recorded phone conversation, set to a slide show, between Bob and Jimmy Kane, who has a music school outside Philadelphia. The content focuses on Bob's reflections and insights into these two monumental albums, and much more.
The first two parts of the interview can be heard below.
In May 2004, the Supreme Court refused to consider the appeal of Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake, who sued OZZY OSBOURNE in 1998 seeking royalties for their work on albums "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman".
Los Angeles attorney Nate Kraut said his musician clients have been denied credit for writing songs that were being used in television commercials and during NFL games.
"Their music is literally everywhere," he told justices in a filing.
A California judge had dismissed the lawsuit that named Osbourne and his wife, as well as several music companies.
